Suicide prevention walk to be held Nov. 13

“Walk for a New Day,” a suicide prevention walk, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 13 on Main Street in Gloucester.

The event, sponsored by the Prevention, Health and Wellness Division of the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Community Services Board, in partnership with the Coalition for Healthy Virginia Communities’ Regional Suicide Prevention Task Force, will begin at Main Street Center, next to Gloucester Public Library. The program is funded by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.

Rodney Sidney II, MSW, Creative Medicine: Healing through Words, LLC, will address the crowd before the walk begins. Registration is not required, but encouraged. To register, go to www.chvc.online and follow the link.
