Suicide prevention walk to be held in November

“Walk For A New Day!” a suicide prevention walk, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 13, in Gloucester, according to an announcement from the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Community Services Board.
The group will gather at the Main Street Center parking lot and walk up and down Main Street. Licensed Clinical Social Worker Ronnie Sidney II of Creative Medicine: Healing Through Words, LLC, will be keynote speaker.
Online registration can be found at www.surveymonkey.com/r/spwalk2021. Registration is encouraged but not required. A $5 donation per person (accepted the morning of the event) will benefit suicide prevention initiatives.
The event is sponsored by the MPNN CSB Prevention, Health and Wellness Division, in partnership with the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Regional Suicide Prevention Task Force (a subcommittee of the Coalition for Healthy Virginia Communities), and funded by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.
