Student’s painting to be given to Daffodil Show winner

An original watercolor painting by Addison “Addie” Wymer will be presented to the winner of the Gloucester Daffodil Club Award at the 2024 Gloucester Daffodil Show.

The award is open to all current club members for the best vase of three different cultivars from the club’s current collection, which includes Altun Ha, Carice, Popeye, Sinopel, and Watch Up, said a press release from the Gloucester Daffodil Show Committee.

Wymer donated her painting to the Gloucester Daffodil Show after learning that she did not meet the age requirement for entering it in the upcoming Daffodil Festival print competition. She is an eighth-grade student at Page Middle School and a member of the National Junior Honor Society. She plays field hockey, enjoys painting, and wants to become a dentist.
