Student Spotlight: GHS student seeks to perfect roles of student, leader, friend

Throughout her life, Vivian Eccleston has dedicated herself to perfect the roles of a student, leader and friend.

An honors student with a 4.29 GPA as of the end of this past school year, the rising senior at Gloucester High has achieved the academic excellence required to validate her role as the president of the school’s National Honors Society chapter and student body. Her father, Jim Eccleston, is a history teacher at GHS and has been the inspiring factor behind her academic drive.

Eccleston shares a passion for travel with her parents who inspired that curiosity within her. In her international travels, Eccleston said she hopes to become well versed in the cultures of the world. This passion for traveling has taken her across the United States and to seven other countries around the globe.

Eccleston is an active member of Spanish club and participates on the annual Eastern Shore trip to help the migrant workers and play with their children.
