Abingdon Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad crews responded to a structure fire around 10:30 p.m. on June 1 at a residence on Guinea Road. According to AVFRS Lieutenant Drew Luellen, two people were home at the time, and one person suffered some minor burns. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
