Structure fire

This doublewide mobile home on Chitlin Switch Road near Dutton received a significant amount of damage due to a fire that took place around 12:50 p.m. on Jan. 12. Upon arriving at the scene, Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad volunteers saw fire coming from the mobile home, according to spokesperson Hanna Carson. She said the male occupant of the mobile home was alerted by his smoke detector, at which time he saw fire, exited the residence and dialed 911. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time, she said, and no injuries were reported. GVFRS responded with four engines, a tanker, a rescue unit, medic unit and approximately 20 volunteers. ...
