A subtropical low pressure system moving up the East Coast should bring plenty of rain and higher than normal tides to this area, according to the National Weather Service, Wakefield. NWS officials said that waves in the lower Chesapeake Bay region were expected to be 1-2 feet Wednesday, 3-4 feet Wednesday night, 4-5 feet Thursday (up to 5-6 feet at the mouth of the bay), 3 feet Friday, and 3-4 feet Saturday and Sunday.
