Stingrays to hold fundraiser at Lynne’s, Richardson’s

The Middle Peninsula Stingrays, a nonprofit travel ball team made up of 11-13 year-olds from Mathews and Middlesex counties, is getting ready for the upcoming spring season with a fundraiser to be held next month at two Mathews restaurants.

On Feb. 26, coaches, players and their parents will be serving as waiters and waitresses at Lynne’s Family Restaurant and Richardson’s Café in the Mathews Court House area, with tips donated to the team. The Stingrays’ goal is to raise enough money for uniforms and tournament fees for the 2013 season.
