Still allowing no scores, JV Lady Dukes shut out Menchville, 13-0

The Gloucester High School junior varsity field hockey team notched another win last Thursday with a 13-goal shutout of visiting Menchville.

Ainsley Miller led scoring with four goals, Faith Ronquest and Cara O’Beirne had three each and goals were scored by Alyssa O’Beirne, Ella Poulson and Meg Teagle. 

Gloucester coach Joe Dougherty said his midfielders did a great job of distributing the ball, with eight scoring assists provided by Teagle and three assists each credited to Tally Vaughan and Caroline Putnam. The junior Dukes also executed well on penalty corners, scoring on four of 15 opportunities.

The Gloucester jayvees have scored 29 goals this season while allowing none. They have also recorded 108 shots on goal while not allowing opponents any potential scoring shots.

The Gloucester juniors are scheduled to host Warhill today.  ...
