Steven Anthony Millwood, 59, of Kilmarnock, died March 30, 2019 at VCU Medical Center, Richmond.

He was a lifelong NASCAR fan, following Dale Earnhardt and Dale Jr. He enjoyed fishing and animals of all kinds, domestic and wildlife. Steve loved and savored time with his beloved dog, Phoebe. 

He was preceded in death by his father, John D. Millwood, and sister, Linda M. Wheeler.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Millwood Carmine and stepfather, Wellington Carmine; devoted life partner, Delia Cochrane; sister, Cathy M. Camechis (Larry); brother, Lynn Millwood (Wanda), and nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Bill West and the Rev. Tommy Bunting will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday, beginning at 1 o’clock.

Steve loved animals and made sure even after his passing that the animals would be cared for through donations in his memory be given to the Gloucester- Mathews Humane Society, P.O. Box 385, Gloucester, Va. 23061 or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
