STEPHEN REA JOHNSON

Stephen Rea Johnson, 47, of Dutton, Va., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 16, 2012.

He was born in East Stroudsburg, Pa. and was a graduate of Bangor High School in Bangor, Pa. He was employed by the U.S. Post Office in Richmond, Va. and had served in the U.S. Army rising to the rank of First Lieutenant.

He was active in sports, loved animals and loved to hunt. He was also a member of the NRA.

He was preceded in death by his father, George T. Johnson Sr. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy F. Johnson of Wind Gap, Pa.; his siblings, Judith Nolf and her husband Rodney of Belfast, Pa., George T. Johnson Jr. and his wife Gerri Ann of Easton, Pa., Clayton Johnson of Wind Gap, Pa., and Marjorie Kelson and her husband John of Bangor, Pa., a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Nancy Dyson of Hayes, Va.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 1 p.m. at his home, 162 Irishmen Lane, Dutton, Va.
