STEPHANIE JOY REYNOLDS

Stephanie Joy Reynolds, 54, died at her home Jan. 1, 2014. 
 
Stephanie was born in England, grew up in Australia, before settling in the United States with her husband. Before moving to Gloucester, Va., with her family, Stephanie worked as a contract negotiator at the British Embassy in Washington, D.C.
 
She was an educator, teaching kindergarten at Abingdon Elementary School. She had a truly unique passion for teaching, mentoring and molding the minds of her young students during her career as a teacher. 
 
Stephanie was a volunteer for the Gloucester-Mathews Free Clinic. Stephanie’s compassion, kindness and loving warm spirit will be truly missed.
 
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Wayne J. Reynolds; children, Tristan and Ashley; parents, John and Betty Flower; brother, Ian, and sisters, Coral and Joanne.
 
A memorial service officiated by the Rev. Sven vanBaars will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at Abingdon Episcopal Church, 4625 George Washington Memorial Hwy., Gloucester.
 
In Stephanie’s memory, contributions may be given to the Gloucester-Mathews Free Clinic, P.O. Box 684, Gloucester, Va. 23061 or the Abingdon Elementary School PTA, 7087 Powhatan Drive, Hayes, Va. 23072.
