On Aug. 25, 2017, Stella Naomi Dickens Hamm, 86, of Gloucester, was granted her wish and transferred to her new heavenly home.

She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Jimmie D. Hamm Sr.; daughter, Sandra Faye Young; five sisters, and two brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Diana Mae Klink (John); son, Jimmie David Hamm Jr.; sister, Patty Booth; son-in-law, Steve Young; 16 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family received friends on Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, at Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory (7192 Main St., Gloucester, Va. 23061) from 6:30-8 p.m. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Grace Bible Church (9577 George Washington Mem. Hwy., Ark, Va. 23003), with interment in the church cemetery.

We, the family, would like to thank the staff of Riverside Walter Reed Hospice (7358 Main St., Gloucester, Va. 23061) for their loving care of Momma in her last months.
