Steamboat Era Museum offers children’s programs

The Steamboat Era Museum in Irvington announces two children’s programs: Art Boot Camp From 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 30, the museum will host its Art Boot Camp, where children will paint and decorate a ceramic fisherman’s boot. The program is free and geared for ages 7-12. Friday Fun Days Beginning June 5 and running through Aug. 7, the museum will host Friday Fun Days from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Children attending one of the Friday Fun Days will learn about the steamboat era and make a steamboat. The cost is $5 per child and geared to ages 4-12. Children must be accompanied by an adult, admitted free of charge. To register for either of these programs, call the museum at 804-438-6888.
