Station Milford Haven to return to full operational status in 2027

U.S. Coast Guard Station Milford Haven in Mathews is scheduled to return to full operational status next year for the first time since 2024, when it transitioned to Scheduled Mission Status and crews began working scheduled shifts rather than 24-hour days. Record recruiting results are now allowing the Coast Guard to fully staff Milford Haven and five other stations in 2027, said a press release from the U.S. Coast Guard, with additional stations also returning to full operations in the future, according to a USCG release. The six stations were prioritized to return to full operations based on operational risk and mission demand, said the release.
