Several members of the Piankatank River Ladies Golf Association took part in a Virginia State Golf Association Ladies Tournament on May 17, 18 at the Kingsmill Resort, Williamsburg. On Tuesday at the Plantation Course, Vicky Gunn and Christy Pitts placed first gross in their flight in a two-person scramble. On Wednesday at the River Course in a four-ball tournament, Gunn and Pitts placed first gross in their flight. Michele Meanley and Kay Stout placed first net in their tournament. Meanley and Gunn live in Mathews County. Stout lives in Northumberland County. Pitts lives in Middlesex County. Shown here are, from left, Meanley, Pitts and Gunn.
