State Fair winners

Gloucester’s Hooves Paws and Claws 4-H Club showed their hogs in youth livestock competitions this past weekend at the Virginia State Fair in Doswell. Members (and their results) were, standing from left, Ryan Smith (seventh in Purebred Breeding Gilt, second in Feeder Market Hog, and third in Purebred Market Barrow), Bradley Murphy (third in Purebred Market Barrow and seventh in Commercial Breeding Gilt), Dakota Dunlap (first in Purebred Market Barrow, second in Purebred Breeding Gilt, Reserve Champion Overall in Purebred Market Hog, 11th in Swine Skillathon, 10th in Overall Premier Exhibitor), Tristan Buswell (second in Purebred Market Gilt, fourth in Purebred Breeding Gilt, fourth in Purebred Market Barrow), Trenton Keener (first in Purebred Market Gilt, third in Purebred Market Barrow, third in Purebred Breeding Gilt) and, kneeling, Mason Dunlap (first in Swine Promotional Display Competition); not pictured, Kota Dunlap (first in Swine Promotional Display Competition).
