The Mathews County Republican Committee recently adopted the following resolution:

Whereas the Mathews County Republican Committee supports the right of the State of Israel to exist as a nation, as established in 1947 under International Law in the United Nations assembled;

Whereas this heinous assault by Hamas is reminiscent of Hitler and Nazi Germany’s “Final Solution to the Jewish Problem” that led to the slaughter of 6 million Jews, known as the Holocaust;

Whereas “Never Again” is the cry of the Jews—a promise we support;

Whereas we also firmly support the Civil Rights of the Jewish people to worship, work, attend school and live their lives without fear of verbal or physical attacks; that, therefore:
