On Easter Sunday morning, April 5, 2015, Stan Gurley, age 77, went home to be with his Lord and Savior. Stan died peacefully at home in Gloucester, Va.

Stan leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 34 years, Trish Gurley. He is also survived by his daughter, Paula and son-in-law Bruce Unkel; brother, Clinton Gurley; nephew, Bill Gurley and his wife Pam, their daughter Macon and son Hunter, and many other nieces and nephews.

Stan was predeceased by his parents, Horace and Nora Gurley, and brothers, Rudy, Hunter and Harvey Gurley.

Stan was a very talented person who liked to work on different kinds of electrical, mechanical and construction equipment. He was self-taught and could fix and repair just about anything. He had a great love of Big Band era music and playing his drums. He loved to cook, and was an outgoing and generous person who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
