Stamp contest winners

Several third, fourth and fifth grade students at Bethel Elementary School placed in the Daughters of the American Revolution Junior American Citizens Stamp Design Contest. This year’s theme was “Celebrating 250 Years of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” Bethel students competed against children from around the country with several placing at the local, regional and state levels. Winners include, front row from left, Silver Chaney (Williamsburg Chapter, first place; State of Virginia, first place; Eastern Division (region), second place; fourth grade), Damen Devane (Williamsburg, third place; third grade), Karlynn Janowski (Williamsburg, second place; third grade), Camden Stewart (Williamsburg, honorable mention; third grade), Madison Moody (Williamsburg, honorable mention; third grade); back row, Olivia Moody (Williamsburg, third place; fourth grade), Warren Mulvaney (Williamsburg, second place; fourth grade), Sofia Spearman (Williamsburg, second place; fourth grade), Aubree McFarland (Williamsburg, second place; fifth grade) and Halle Kennedy (Williamsburg, third place; fifth grade). Tenley Wiggs (Williamsburg, honorable mention, fifth grade) and Aubrey Wiggs (Williamsburg, honorable mention; fourth grade) also received honors, but they are not shown here.
