Spriggs accepted into Yale’s Campaign School

Sareeta Spriggs, daughter of Bea Spriggs of Mathews and the late Donnie “Lucky” Spriggs, was recently accepted into The Campaign School at Yale University.

The Campaign School at Yale selected 67 rising political leaders from across the country and internationally to participate in a party- and issue-neutral campaign training program, with a particular focus on empowering more women to run for office or serve as campaign managers. This year marks the school’s 28th class.

Spriggs currently is a chief of staff for a government consulting firm. She has worked on Capitol Hill and served as a deputy director for the current Washington, D.C., mayor during her first term.

Spriggs has a heart for people and said she hopes to one day run for office to become a voice for those who feel they have no voice. She received her bachelor’s degree from Norfolk State University and her MBA from Strayer University.
