As part of its Outreach Ministries, Abingdon Episcopal Church hosted a Christmas party on Dec. 22 for the 24 residents of the Forest View apartments (formerly the Cary Avenue Home) in Gloucester Court House. Brenda Claytor led the group of parishioners and friends in celebrating the season with home-baked cookies and singing Christmas carols. Abingdon Church had collected personalized gifts for each resident, and they were delivered. The group also enjoyed hearing the Christmas story from the Bible, which was read by Claytor.
