Spoil a homeless pet this holiday

’Tis the season to spoil our pets! Let us be honest, all of our four-legged friends are on Santa’s nice list and deserve some extra love this year.

The Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society is home to many incredible, adoptable pets who will bark and meow with excitement over special gifts this season. You can help a homeless pet this holiday season by selecting an ornament from our Angel Tree!

The GMHS Angel Tree has returned for 2022 and is located in the shelter’s lobby. It is accessible during normal operating hours. Each ornament features a pet and a wish list item that will make their holidays merry and bright while they await adoption into their forever homes.

Current donation needs at GMHS are for canned cat food (paté texture preferred) and canned dog food. Our dogs also love peanut butter! If you donate this treat, please be sure it is xylitol free before sharing it with our furry friends. Our canines also enjoy enrichment with “sprayable” cheese as a special treat. Tem...
