’Tis the season to spoil our pets! Let’s be honest, every one of our furry friends is on Santa’s nice list and deserves a little extra love this year. Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society is home to so many incredible adoptable pets who will happily bark, meow, and wag their tails in excitement over special treats, toys, and cozy comforts this holiday season. Thanks to our generous community, there are several wonderful ways you can help a homeless pet feel holly and jolly while they await their forever home! One festive way to spread cheer is by selecting an ornament from our annual Pet Angel Tree. The GMHS Angel Tree has returned and is proudly displayed in the shelter lobby. It is accessible during our normal operating hours, Tuesday–Sunday from 12-5 p.m. Each ornament features a pet currently in our care, and every one of them would love a special gift to make their holidays merry and bright.
