‘Spirits’ exhibit opens next month at Museum of Fine Arts

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts will open “Tsherin Sherpa: Spirits,” the first solo museum exhibition of the Nepalese-born Tibetan American contemporary artist, with a program on Saturday, Feb. 19 in the museum’s Leslie Cheek Theater, located at 200 N. Arthur Ashe Boulevard, Richmond.

Sherpa and exhibition organizer Dr. John Henry Rice will explore the artist’s prolific body of work through a candid conversation beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets for the exhibition are now on sale. They are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors 65 and over, youth 7-17 and college students with ID. The exhibition is free for VMFA members, children ages 6 and under, and active-duty military personnel and their immediate families.

The exhibit will be on display through Oct. 16.
