A graveside service with military honors was held for Spencer Hopson, 91, of Gloucester, at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, in Hampton National Cemetery, Phoebus side. He died Aug. 18, 2021.

He was predeceased by his parents, Lackey and Madie Hopson, and his brother, Costello.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary Hopson; his sons, Vincent and Kenneth; siblings, Larry, Lois, and Jean; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
