Citation-size speckled trout are showing up in local weigh stations, according to a Nov. 9 update, the first since September, in the vasaltwaterjournal.net. The journal reports on citations issued by the Virginia Saltwater Fishing Tournament.

Speckled trout citations issued in recent weeks to local anglers include the following:

Jay Brown of Hayes, 5-pound, 2-ounce fish in the York River; Christopher Hudgins of Hartfield, 5-3 fish in the Piankatank River; James L. Hurst of Cobbs Creek, three citation winners, 5-9, 5-1 and 5-6, all from the Piankatank River; Jason B. West of Gloucester, 6-11 fish, Mobjack Bay; Shia A. Garn of Cobbs Creek, 5-8 fish in the Piankatank; Jacob Tolefson of Gloucester, 5-1 fish from Mobjack Bay; Tyler Wallace of Hayes, 24”, Chesapeake Bay; Bradley Barr of Hayes, 5-4 fish, Chesapeake Bay; Ray Newsome of Cobbs Creek, 24.5” fish caught and released in Piankatank River.Other citations have been awarded as follows:
