The Rev. Dr. Robert A. Diggs Sr., pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Petersburg, will speak at 3 p.m. Homecoming Sunday in Morning Glory Baptist Church, Woods Cross Roads, Gloucester. From Tuesday through Thursday next week, he will lead a revival at Emmaus Baptist Church in North. Diggs is a native of Mathews County whose career started as an officer in the U.S. Army; he later entered and retired from the Chaplains Corps, and became pastor at Tabernacle in 1996. He is a graduate of Mathews High School, Norfolk State University, and Howard University Divinity.
