Spay/Neuter Clinic an important resource for pets and their families

February is National Spay/Neuter Awareness Month, and what better way to celebrate it than by giving your pet the gift of a healthy, happy life afforded by spaying/neutering.

Tucked away in the White Marsh Shopping Center is the Spay/Neuter Clinic, an incredible, affordable and accessible resource for community pets and their families. Founded in 2008 “with the goal of providing affordable and accessible spay/neuter services for all dogs and cats who need them,” the clinic has altered more than 35,000 pets to date and remains steadfast in its commitment to saving lives, one surgery at a time.

While the clinic calls Gloucester home, its lifesaving reach extends far beyond the county line. In 2018, nearly as many pets from Newport News as from Mathews received services at the clinic. In fact, an impressive 2,777 spay/neuter surgeries were performed at the clinic in 2018.
