Spare change project

Each year, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 75, Gloucester, selects a deserving community organization to be the recipient of its “spare change project.” This year, the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society was selected and presented a check for $189.44 on Dec. 14. Spare change is collected at the group’s monthly meetings throughout the year. Shown here, from left, are Auxiliary member Michele Lisi, GMHS Community and Development Coordinator Caitlin Donnelly, Auxiliary vice president Cheryl Slavnik and members Claudia Clifton, Linda Osenton and Cheryl Knapke.
