Spanish teacher, other employees hired in Gloucester

The Gloucester County School Board appointed Kayla White of Gloucester as a Spanish teacher at Gloucester High School during personnel action taken during its Oct. 9 meeting. The appointment was effective Oct. 7.

The board also appointed Calvin Johnson II of Gloucester as a security officer at GHS, effective Oct. 9, and Lisa Joyner of Gloucester as a personal care assistant at Peasley Middle School, effective Oct. 8. 

In positions paid by supplement, Kenneth Harris was appointed as the assistant varsity boys’ basketball coach at GHS. 

Resignations were accepted from Bethel Elementary teacher Sarah LeHardy, effective Jan. 1, 2019, and from support employee Sandra Nuttall, effective Oct. 1. 

Resignations were also accepted from Peasley bas- ketball coach Christopher Lawson and assistant coach Terry Lawson-Roppolo, both effective Oct. 1. 

In addition, the board approved retirement for support employee Ellen Wilkinson, effective Jan. 1, 2019.  ...
