Mike Cunningham of Hayes was out Tuesday night hoping to get shots of the fading Comet A6 Lemmon just after sunset, when he saw this pass overhead. There was a Falcon 9 launch from Cape Canaveral shortly before carrying 29 Starlink satellites. “I’ve made a trip to Florida before trying to capture a launch which was scrubbed for maintenance, but now I know I can just step out my door in Virginia to do it successfully,” he said. Comet A6 will be replaced this month by K1 approaching earth now after completing its pass around the sun, which could be visible in the early morning hours this week....
