‘Sound of Music’ youth production to be held March 19-20

The Moose Family Players will present an all-youth production of “The Sound of Music” next weekend, March 19-20, at the Gloucester Moose Lodge as a fundraiser for the GUEST program.

The performances will take place on Saturday, March 19 at 3 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, March 20 at 3 p.m. only. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children and college students with ID. Tickets can be purchased in advance from Gloucester Office Supply and Golden Creations at Gloucester Point. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Raffles will be conducted at each performance for an entertainment and food gift basket containing many gift cards to local restaurants, specialty shops and entertainment venues. These baskets are worth approximately $450 of food and entertainment. Raffle tickets will be sold at the door prior to the performance and during intermission. The winning ticket will be drawn at the conclusion of intermission.

Forty-two local youth are involved in this musical. This show is made possible by director Melissa Polonsky, musical director/producer Christine Britton, technical and sound director David Britton, and costumer Suzanne Smith.
