Sorority holds Business Month celebration

Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., Epsilon Eta Chapter of Gloucester, recently held its annual Business Month celebration at Moody’s Event Center, White Marsh Shopping Center.

Four businesses/entrepreneurs were honored—Eileen Davis, owner of Balloon Boutique; William “Billy” Drummond, owner of Morris Super Service and Custom Upholstery for 67 years; Brandon Ward, owner of Ward’s Landscaping, and Larry D’Shawn Wright, owner of Body By D Gym and Fitness Center and The Wright Cuts Barbershops and Salons in Gloucester and Newport News.

Each business was presented a certificate and an award honoring them for their years of service.

Leslie Billups and Company rendered a dance selection as a tribute to the honorees. Scholarship recipients for 2022 were also recognized. This year’s Georgia M. Redcross Scholarship recipient was Jaidyn Forrest; the Epsilon Eta Scholarship was awarded to Tatiyana Pollard.
