Abby Sorey of Mathews, joined the staff of the Mathews County Clerk of Circuit Court last month, serving as a deputy clerk. She is responsible for assisting clients with land records research, data entry of land records, and other duties.

Sorey most recently was the manager of a coffee shop in Mathews and has also worked as a veterinary assistant. She has an associate’s degree in General Studies from Rappahannock Community College. She is engaged to Heath Curtis of Mathews.
