Internationally-acclaimed soprano Lauren Jelencovich will perform at Mathews High School at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12, in the Harry M. Ward Auditorium, 9889 Buckley Hall Road, Mathews, in the next Concerts by the Bay performance.
Jelencovich uses her sparkling soprano voice to share her love and passion for all genres of music with audiences of all ages, a release stated. She made her off-Broadway debut in the 2006 world premiere of “The Music Teacher,” said the release, and has performed alongside such music industry stars as Renee Fleming. She is also the grand-prize winner of Ed McMahon’s Star Search and Andrea Bocelli’s World Scholarship.
The program features a diverse repertoire of familiar songs such as “The Prayer,” “O Mio Babbino Caro,” “Over the Rainbow” and others, said the release.
