A service for Sophie Elizabeth Berger Mosley, 64, of Gloucester, was held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. She died Feb. 21, 2016. 

She was born in Pennsylvania, and retired from the Virginian-Pilot newspaper, Norfolk.

She was preceded in death by her son, Eric Mosley, and parents, Sophie and George Berger.

Survivors include her son, Jason Mosley.

The service was conducted by the Rev. Bill West. Inurnment was private.
