Some on the sick list, others have a new horse, ventures in trucking

From the Ruff neighborhood, we are sorry to report Mr. J.T. Hudgins on the sick list. Mr. Herman Hudgins has recently purchased a new horse. We are glad to see the farmers of this place taking such a delight in trucking. We wish them much success.

While yesterday was officially the first day of spring, according to the calendar, nobody would have suspected it. The weather for the past week has at least had the virtue of variety, however, including snow, rain, hail, freezing temperature, pleasant warmth, sunshine and cloudiness. This section, however, has fared much better than many parts of the country, as stormy weather has been prevalent everywhere, with much suffering and damage to the fruit reported from various sections. It is not believed that fruit has suffered much injury here, as few trees had begun to blossom.
