Just because COVID-19 has people staying away from large groups doesn’t mean that you can’t go out and get some fresh air. Last Thursday, some people were taking advantage of the beautiful weather to get in some fishing and boating at Beaverdam Reservoir, including this pair and their dog, at left, and Mercie and Jim Hartman of Smithfield, who did some fishing at the dock. Hartman said the couple reeled in blue gill, yellow perch, shellcrackers and a small bass that was large enough to keep.
