Social at St. John’s raising funds for rectory

Do not forget the date of the social to be held by the St. John’s Sunday School on Easter Monday night in the Rectory. A silver offering will be asked for at the door. Refreshments for sale. City ice cream. Proceeds for benefit of Rectory property. The “Ads” will promenade at eight o’clock.

At the hall at North, on Thursday, April 27, at 7 p.m., for the benefit of the Cardinal Branch of the Red Cross.

The door of the hall is open wide And for seven cents you may go inside,

And every luckiest seventh one May go in free and see the fun.

There’ll be bargain packages piled up high And seven round cents your choice can buy;

For seven cents you can buy such cake, As your mother herself could never make.

You can eat ice cream for seven cents, So good you’ll forget all about expense,

And of fancy work you’ll find ...
