Keith Smith has been named shop manager at Gunn’s Body Shop, Inc., located on Main Street in Gloucester.

Company president Vicky Gunn said that Smith will write estimates, order parts, schedule service and work with insurance companies on damage reports. He joined the business in early September.

Smith said he is excited to have the opportunity to join the Gunn’s Body Shop team, which includes nine other full-time employees and one part-time worker besides himself and Gunn. Working here, Smith said, is quite different from his most recent job of six years as a Richmond paint wholesaler.

Smith has 32 years’ automotive experience, having worked at several Richmond dealerships. He worked as a body technician and a vehicle painter, then switched to paint sales for two different companies. Smith resides in Richmond. His wife, Angie, is part owner and manager of a Richmond packaging firm. They have three daughters.
