The Widows of Gloucester and Mathews County met on Sept. 15 at the Tabernacle of Faith Church in Hayes for a special “Smile Studio” celebration. Approximately 30-35 members enjoyed an afternoon of fellowship, food, laughter and photography. Volunteer photographers Stephanie Jackson, Vanessa West and Teela Finch helped the ladies capture new portraits, headshots and fun photos—all at no cost. “The gathering was a reminder that while the women share the experience of loss, their lives continue to hold friendship, laughter, beauty and new memories worth capturing,” a release stated.
