‘Slick ca’m’

As the old timers say, Sunday morning on Mobjack Bay was a "slick ca’m" with barely a ripple disturbing the surface. In photo above, pelicans fly past New Point Lighthouse. Below, sunlight, crape myrtles, lush vegetation and sparkling waters provide a beautiful setting around Grace-Providence United Methodist Church at Mobjack. The church, more than a century old, provides a focal point for East River boaters heading toward Mobjack Bay. Photos by Elsa Cooke Verbyla
