Tracy and Robbie Whitehurst of Dutton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Melany Slaughter, to Gino Cecchi, son of Amanda and Lee Cecchi of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina.
Melany graduated from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, and is employed by the Gloucester-Mathews Gazette-Journal.
Gino graduated from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C., and works for WestRock.
A wedding is planned for 2026.
