Six Gloucester properties on Solar Tour

Six Gloucester properties will be open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, as part of the Hampton Roads Solar Tour, which will be held a day earlier, on Oct. 3, on the Peninsula, Eastern Shore and Southside.

Presented by the Hampton Roads Solar Group, the free, self-guided tour will feature door prizes awarded to three participants whose stamped entries are randomly selected. First prize is $250 cash, with second prize a selection of $100 worth of wines from Good Luck Cellars, and third prize $25 worth of Croc’s dinner certificates. Entries are stamped on-site.

In addition to solar homes and businesses, the tour will include buildings that make use of other types of sustainable energy and technologies.
