Sisters in the Spirit Ministries, Inc., is continuing to make a difference in the community through donations to organizations and individuals in need. The latest contribution was made to Gloucester’s GUEST program.
SIS responded to the need for non-perishable food items for GUEST’s Motel Voucher Program by donating over $650 worth of items from the group’s Amazon wish list. The boxes delivered to the GUEST Day Shelter included cases of microwaveable and ready-to-eat foods, providing nutritious meals for the homeless population housed at hotels throughout the 10-county region that GUEST services.
SIS also donated food baskets to eight families in Gloucester during the Thanksgiving season. The ministry reached out on social media for the names of families who wanted to receive a blessing basket. The baskets were full of items for a complete Thanksgiving dinner, including turkey and all the trimmings. Recipients were selected at random from among all the applications received by the submission deadline.
