Sisters in the Spirit establish HOPE Award

Sisters in the Spirit Ministries, Inc., has established a new program designed to recognize those who are “grabbing with enthusiasm the opportunity to make a change for the better in the lives of others,” a release stated.

SIS is acknowledging the people who are “helping others with purpose and empowerment” by presenting them with The HOPE Award. The award was created to distinguish individuals who are going above and beyond expectations to help those in Gloucester and Mathews, through their commitment, efforts, facilitation, or service to others.

SIS is an outreach ministry created to empower, enlighten and encourage Christian women in better serving the Lord. The organization designed The HOPE Award to show appreciation publicly and formally to those representing the love of Christ Jesus, as reflected in Galatians 6:10: “so then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”
