Sibling rivalry workshop offered at Botetourt

“Tips to Tame Sibling Rivalry” is the topic of a parent workshop to be held March 19 at Botetourt Elementary School. The evening begins with dinner at 6 o’clock, followed by the workshop at 6:15. 

The workshop is appropriate for any family that feels worn out by listening to constant bickering between brothers and sisters, especially if worried that an older sibling’s teasing will do major damage, a release said. It also addresses how to avoid refereeing squabbles between siblings.

The workshop will be facilitated by Jennifer Tingley, Special Education Coordinator for Gloucester Public Schools. She will discuss some of the reasons siblings fight with each other, factors that can influence sibling rivalry, and strategies to help manage the chaos.
