Shop with a Cop

The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office’s “Shop with a Cop” program raised over $30,000 for its event, which was held Saturday at the Gloucester Walmart. The program was able to provide Christmas to more than 140 of Gloucester’s disadvantaged children. According to SWAC committee chair Capt. John Schick, committee members worked for four months raising money to offer local children a full holiday shopping experience. The day included plenty of shopping, smiles, bicycle giveaways and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, he said. He said the event would not have been possible without the help of many law enforcement officers from varying agencies that serve the community as well as citizen volunteers.
