The public is invited to a dedication ceremony and open house for The Shoebox Depot, the Hallieford facility built to prepare shoeboxes year-round for Operation Christmas Child, beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29. “Family, friends, everyone who has been part of our Operation Christmas Child mission since 2020, those who have watched this ministry unfold, and even those hearing about it for the very first time … you are invited,” Amy Ashberry, who heads the local Operation Christmas Child program. Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, has delivered millions of gift-filled shoeboxes to boys and girls around the world in its ongoing mission to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
